"The exciting thing about this project is that we are writing a book on Social Media, using Social Media."
We worked closely with the folks from the AuthorBound division at Content Connections to use social media to reach out to more than 1,000 people using email, trusted networks, blogs, and other social media tools. Of the hundreds of reviewers who participated either in The Social Media Bible Market Opportunity Analysis Book Review, or the Social Media 2007 survey, more than 500 people indicated they would like to participate in the actual creation of the content.
By embracing these 500+ people (and the number grows) the content of the book will contain more information, more anecdotes, and a much wider perspective than any one author could provide. By vetting all of this content through two experienced writers and innovators, The Social Media Bible will have the continuity and stability of their voice. It truly is the best of all worlds.
To collaborate with the 300+ contributors, we will be using many forms of social media (such as Twitter) to remain in continuous contact with them as well as our board of advisors who will help guide the development of the book.
And when the book is finally published? Well, we hope “our crowd” will talk about the book to people in their social and professional networks.
